While writing From Shadows to Life was meaningful to me personally and professionally, the book has meaning to the National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship as well. It was at their founding meeting in 1986 that the cancer survivorship movement was launched. So it is more than fitting that my inaugural book event should have been hosted by them.
