I surround myself with things I love: photos, family artifacts, and of course books. They all inspire me.
The baby is my mother, the newspaper is a 1940 issue of Le Matin, and the shelf came from the coat room of my elementary school (I like old stuff!).
My grandfather wasn’t a wealthy man, but prized his belongings. This was his desk; I’ve written at it for years. The poster in the background promoted the speech I gave at CIA headquarters.
My Executive Assistant
Meet Cambridge, my mastador (Lab/mastiff mix). She’s a good listener when she’s awake.
The view from my desk. Mother Nature inspires me too. That mountain’s color changes from dark gray in the morning to glorious orange and then mauve as the sun sets.
The REAL Judy
Judy Garland was my mother’s favorite. Found this album of her concert at Carnegie Hall in 1961. It was called “is called "the greatest night in show business history.”
I stage this behind my desk when I’m Zooming. Notice the shameless self promotion.
Not Always Tidy
This is more what my desk looks like daily.
